Principal Global Process Steward – General Accounting

About the role

Boston Scientific is seeking a Principal Global Process Steward to support the Global Process Leader in advancing Account to Reporting (ATR) improvements across worldwide general ledger accounting processes. The role acts as a subject‑matter expert, driving standardization, efficiency and operational excellence while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Global Process Leader in maintaining and enhancing global GL processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and period‑end close.
• Analyze existing processes, identify improvement opportunities and recommend standardized solutions.
• Develop, document and maintain global process designs and supporting documentation.
• Partner with regional and functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices.
• Participate in transformation initiatives aligned with the Account to Reporting roadmap.
• Evaluate business requirements and propose practical process solutions that adhere to global standards.
• Track issues, document risks and assist with governance and resolution activities.
• Collaborate with Finance Process Stewards and business partners to address challenges and share best practices.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations and period‑end close.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess processes and drive improvements.
• Proven ability to build effective working relationships across a global organization.
• Experience supporting process governance and transformation initiatives.
