Principal Engineering App Developer

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft seeks a Principal Engineering App Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of complex business and engineering applications. You will act as a technical authority, set standards, mentor developers, and translate challenging requirements into robust software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new software and improve existing applications based on customer and colleague requests.
• Participate in solution design, requirements gathering, and backlog refinement.
• Design, implement, and document platform technologies using best‑practice patterns.
• Lead technical aspects of major projects across the full Software Development Lifecycle.
• Provide technical expertise in cloud architecture, data security, and related engineering disciplines.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or related field.
• Minimum 13 years of experience in aerospace, government, legal, engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Physical ability to work onsite, including vision, hearing, lifting up to 30 lb, and occasional travel.
