Preconstruction Estimator – General Construction

About the role

First Onsite is seeking a Preconstruction Estimator to lead cost estimation and scope development for reconstruction and commercial projects across the United States and neighboring countries. You will work closely with leadership, project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure every detail is captured accurately before construction begins.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction activities for reconstruction and commercial projects.
• Coordinate trades, source materials, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Develop scopes of work, resolve issues, and prepare reports, documentation, take‑offs, and bid analyses.
• Track material and labor costs, ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with project scheduling, change order management, and site inspections.
• Stay current on industry trends, products, and procedures; provide 24/7 project support as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years experience in estimating or preconstruction.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, building construction, or a related field (preferred).
