PPB Finance Analyst

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions, is looking for a PPB Finance Analyst to drive portfolio and spend management, lead finance reporting processes, and partner with business stakeholders across the PPB Business Unit.

Key responsibilities

• Lead in‑quarter spending and budget management with PPB business partners, owning day‑to‑day spend reporting and variance analysis.
• Manage headcount and labor modeling to support quarterly forecasts, annual planning and target setting.
• Consolidate financials for PPB P&L forecasting, develop dashboards and reporting tools, and partner with Corporate FP&A to enhance reporting capabilities.
• Drive system and process improvements across forecasting, automation and data quality.
• Coordinate with BU finance partners, Sales, Engineering, Operations and Accounting to deliver financial insights for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, portfolio finance, investment analysis or related areas.
• Experience supporting OpEx, CapEx and headcount planning processes.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and business case development.
• Proven ability to partner cross‑functionally and communicate financial insights.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• Financial planning and reporting tools such as Anaplan, SAP BPC, Tableau or similar.
