Powertrain Controls Software Engineering Intern (6‑Month)

About the role

Join Bosch Powertrain Solutions as a Software Engineering Intern and contribute to the development of embedded control software for automotive applications such as vehicle control units, propulsion control units and transmission control units.

Key responsibilities

• Develop manual and model‑based code for power‑train and connected software solutions.
• Perform rapid‑prototyping to support functional requirement development.
• Analyse and improve hardware‑software interfaces and create automated test software.
• Test and validate new software features on vehicles, engine dynamometers, HiL, SiL and MiL platforms.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues.
• Participate in program review, interface studies and design review meetings.
• Support customer test trips in various environmental conditions.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Controls focus), Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics (Controls focus) with at least one semester completed.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Senior or Master‑level students preferred.
• 1+ year of academic or industry experience with software languages and operating systems (real‑time OS, C, etc.).
