Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Chemical Biology

About the role

The Jones Lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher to advance covalent chemical biology projects aimed at expanding the druggable proteome. The fellow will work in a collaborative environment with access to state‑of‑the‑art chemistry, biophysics, structural biology, and mass‑spectrometry facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply biochemical, biophysical, and cellular assays for chemical probe validation.
• Screen compound libraries, analyze data, and interpret results.
• Investigate molecular modes of action of chemical probes.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Contribute to scientific publications and grant proposals.

Required profile

• PhD in chemical biology or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in protein preparation, assay development, and compound screening.
• Strong track record of peer‑reviewed publications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
