Postdoctoral Research Associate – Health Policy & Management

About the role

Texas A&M University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct health policy and management research within the Population Informatics Lab. The position is grant‑funded, full‑time, and based on the College Station campus.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute health database studies, including data management, statistical analysis, and manuscript preparation.
• Mentor and supervise graduate and undergraduate student researchers working on project tasks.
• Prepare presentation materials and deliver findings to both small and large audiences.
• Contribute to technical progress reports for research sponsors and assist with administrative duties.

Required profile

• PhD in Information Science, Data Science, Public Health, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with large population datasets such as EHR or claims data.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research team.

Required skills

• Statistical software: R, Python, SAS, STATA.
• Machine‑learning techniques for health data analysis.
• Data handling and cleaning of large health datasets.
