Postdoctoral Research Associate – Cotton Jassid IPM

About the role

This full‑time postdoctoral position focuses on developing integrated pest‑management (IPM) strategies for cotton jassid. The research emphasizes microbial control agents such as entomopathogenic fungi and nematodes and evaluates their compatibility with natural predators.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate microbial insecticides for cotton jassid management.
• Assess compatibility between microbial agents and generalist predators.
• Design and conduct laboratory, greenhouse, and field efficacy trials.
• Collaborate on AI‑assisted pest‑monitoring technology development.
• Publish findings and present at scientific conferences and extension events.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in entomology, plant pathology, or a related field.
• Experience in biological control and integrated pest management.
• Proven ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
