About the role
Saint Louis University is seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow to lead computational biophysics projects that explore biomolecular dynamics in crowded, cell‑like environments. The research will address topics such as enzyme dynamics, protein misfolding, aggregation, and hemoglobin disorders.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute molecular dynamics simulations of biomolecules in realistic cellular contexts.
- Develop and maintain computational models that capture crowding effects and biochemical interactions.
- Analyze simulation data to generate insights into disease‑related mechanisms.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including experimental biologists and chemists.
- Prepare manuscripts, reports, and presentations to disseminate findings.
Required profile
- PhD (or ABD) in physical sciences, biochemistry, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong background in computational chemistry or biophysics.
- Experience working in Linux environments and using high‑performance computing resources.
- Ability to work independently and lead research projects.
