Plumbing Apprentice

About the role

The Plumbing Apprentice will support licensed tradesmen in installing and maintaining plumbing systems across campus facilities. This position offers hands‑on training in trade‑specific skills such as troubleshooting and repairs. The apprentice will develop a solid foundation in plumbing while contributing to the university’s infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers with the installation of plumbing components in campus buildings.
• Learn and perform troubleshooting and repair tasks under supervision.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training to develop core plumbing competencies.
• Maintain reliable, non‑disruptive attendance and follow safety procedures.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work reliably and maintain harmonious relationships with coworkers.
• Commitment to learning and developing trade skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in plumbing trades.
• Skilled in operating and caring for tools and machinery.
• Ability to perform manual labor under varying working conditions.
• Capability to understand and follow oral instructions.
