Platform Center of Excellence Mechanical Engineer

About the role

As a Mechanical Engineer in the Platform Center of Excellence, you will apply physics, mathematics and materials science to solve complex mechanical problems, design custom tooling, and support the handling, assembly and disassembly of components throughout the product life cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Independently develop and implement concepts for complex product issues and engineering solutions.
• Lead or execute engineering projects and drive research and development of new technologies.
• Identify and troubleshoot a wide range of significantly complex engineering problems.
• Perform complex engineering analysis and generate product specifications.
• Define, coordinate, perform and document engineering tests.
• Specify and review engineering layouts, schematics, drawings, and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 10‑15 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Deep technical expertise in the Applied Materials product life cycle and related disciplines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for explaining complex information and building consensus.
