Plasma Sensing Systems Engineer

About the role

As a Systems Engineer you will design, integrate, and optimize complex plasma etch systems that drive the semiconductor industry forward. The role blends sensor technology, algorithm development, and control system expertise to deliver high‑performance equipment for advanced chip manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute systems engineering projects that combine sensor, algorithm, and control modules for plasma etch systems from concept through production deployment.
• Develop and optimize algorithms for automation and advanced control of RF Power, Pulsed Voltage, flow, and temperature subsystems.
• Identify gaps in sensor technologies, build prototypes or procure subsystems, and qualify them against detailed specifications.
• Integrate classical mathematical algorithms with deep‑learning approaches to solve productivity challenges.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including Field, Marketing, Product, Applications, Software, and Systems—to gather requirements and deliver integrated solutions.

Required profile

• PhD or Master’s degree in Engineering or Physics with relevant experience.
• 3‑5 years of experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in RF/DC plasma systems, plasma sensing, or algorithm development.
• Strong data‑analysis skills using MATLAB, Python, or similar tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to influence a range of stakeholders.
