Plant Training Specialist

About the role

The Plant Training Specialist will own the learning management system and training content for plant team members, delivering technical, compliance, and onboarding programs. This role partners with cross‑functional teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality learning experiences across the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the plant LMS (Mpower) – manage users, assign content, report participation, and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop and deliver train‑the‑trainer sessions, building a network of qualified hourly trainers.
• Lead onboarding programs, ensuring compliance and proper trainer assignment.
• Create and maintain training courses within the LMS, including virtual instructor‑led sessions.
• Coordinate training schedules to minimize production disruptions and evaluate external training vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in HR, technical training, or learning & development.
• Manufacturing experience with knowledge of OSHA standards and quality requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Learning Management System administration (Mpower, Workday Learning, Cornerstone, TalentLMS).
• Authoring tools such as Camtasia, Articulate, and Canva.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with virtual delivery platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
