Plant Director – Manufacturing Leadership

About the role

3M is seeking a Plant Director to lead its Menomonie, Wisconsin manufacturing facility. The role involves guiding a high‑performing team to produce innovative products that improve lives worldwide while ensuring safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of employees dedicated to manufacturing products for global customers.
• Oversee plant environment, health, safety, and security practices in compliance with regulations.
• Drive operational excellence across quality, manufacturing, supply chain, cost, and employee relations.
• Accelerate value creation through responsive end‑to‑end supply chain performance and customer issue resolution.
• Develop manufacturing strategies, capital equipment planning, technology advancement, and leadership development.
• Champion inclusive programs to create a great workplace for all employees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution (verified prior to start).
• At least ten years of experience in quality, product/process/project engineering, or manufacturing within private, public, government, or military environments.
• Minimum five years of management experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience as a Plant Manager or equivalent in a complex organization is a plus.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
