PIV General Clerk II – Security Assistant

About the role

Crossroads Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced PIV General Clerk II / Security Assistant to support NOAA’s Badging Center in Silver Spring, MD. The role involves hands‑on federal credentialing, customer service, and coordination of onboarding activities for NOAA and DoD personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Enroll, issue, and activate CAC, PIV, PIV‑I and other authorized identification credentials.
• Operate RAPIDS workstations, capture photographs, and enter biographical data into government databases.
• Manage appointment scheduling, telephone inquiries, and communication of credential status.
• Generate regular badging and appointment reports and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Collect and process credentials for departing employees and support termination actions.
• Coordinate with NOAA Human Capital, Security, and CIO offices to streamline onboarding.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience issuing government identification badges.
• Strong computer and database skills with ability to accurately enter and review security‑related information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, customer‑service orientation, and attention to detail.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain or hold an active Public Trust clearance.
