Physician – Sports Medicine Surgeon

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Sports Medicine Surgeon to join the Kenner Orthopedics team. The physician will split time between clinic visits and operative cases, working five days a week on site in Kenner, Louisiana. The role leverages Ochsner's integrated health‑care delivery model and large internal referral network to provide comprehensive sports‑medicine care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide sports‑medicine surgical care and manage outpatient clinic patients.
• Perform 1–2 operating‑room days per week, supported by a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider.
• Collaborate with multi‑specialty teams and participate in teaching, research, and community service initiatives.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic health record system to coordinate patient care across the network.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible MD in Sports Medicine/Orthopedics.
• Willingness to work a full‑time onsite schedule in Kenner, with flexibility for clinic and OR duties.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, including teaching, research, or leadership activities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the EPIC electronic health record system.
