Physician Neurosurgeon – Full‑time Surgical Position

Key responsibilities

• Treat neurological problems using both surgical and medical approaches.
• Perform a full range of neurosurgical procedures, including neuro‑oncology surgeries.
• Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic tests based on patient history.
• Consult with physicians, nurses, patients, and families regarding treatment plans, risks, and precautions.
• Refer cases to specialists when needed while maintaining continuity of care.
• Provide medical direction, education, and training to healthcare staff.
• Participate in administrative duties, committees, and maintain accurate patient records.
• Remain an active member of the hospital staff and provide on‑call coverage.

Required profile

• Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.).
• Active Louisiana medical license.
• Completion of an accredited neurosurgery residency.

Required skills

• Proficiency in performing neurosurgical procedures.
• Experience with neuro‑oncology surgery.
• Ability to interpret diagnostic test results.
