Physician – Maternal Fetal Medicine

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board‑certified or board‑eligible Physician to join its Maternal Fetal Medicine team in New Orleans. The role involves delivering high‑quality obstetric care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and upholding Ochsner’s core values of patient‑first service, integrity, compassion, inclusivity, teamwork and excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, diagnose clinical conditions, and prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans.
• Document patient encounters promptly in the Electronic Health Record and ensure accurate coding of visits.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Order additional evaluations, make referrals, and coordinate follow‑up care as needed.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and federal, state, and local regulations.

Required profile

• Board certified or eligible in the physician’s primary specialty (Maternal Fetal Medicine).
• Licensed MD or DO with active practice privileges.
• Credentialed and willing to maintain an ongoing clinical practice.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record systems.
• Accurate medical coding and documentation.
• Ability to prescribe pharmaceuticals and manage treatment regimens.
