Physician – Joint Reconstruction Orthopedic Surgeon

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with specialized training in joint replacement to join its growing Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Institute in Meridian, Mississippi.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general orthopedic coverage alongside three other surgeons, an orthopedic‑spine surgeon, and two APPs.
• Participate in a shared on‑call schedule: one weekday call per week and one weekend call every sixth weekend.
• Utilize dedicated operating‑room space in the ambulatory building connected to the clinic.
• Collaborate within an integrated practice model with a strong internal referral network.
• Work with 24/7 hospitalists and multidisciplinary specialties, using the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon.
• Formal training and experience in joint replacement/reconstruction procedures.

Required skills

• Orthopedic surgery expertise.
• Joint replacement and reconstruction techniques.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR platform.
