Physician, Hematopathologist

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematopathologist to join its Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in New Orleans. The position offers a collaborative environment with a team of hematopathologists, HLA/transfusion physicians, and anatomic pathologists.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret bone marrow and lymph node specimens
• Provide hematopathology consultations and flow cytometry interpretation
• Oversee clinical pathology laboratory operations and participate in quality committees
• Serve as medical director, contribute to tumor boards, and guide laboratory stewardship

Required profile

• Board certification or eligibility in Hematopathology by start date
• New graduates are welcome
• Preferred certification in Molecular Pathology
