Physician – Gastroenterology (Board Certified/Eligible)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join its Slidell campus. The position focuses on general gastroenterology within a highly collegial, integrated practice model.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive gastroenterology consults, outpatient clinic care, and manage patient overflow with support from Advanced Practice Professionals.
• Collaborate closely with surgery, oncology, radiology, and GI pathology teams, leveraging a strong internal referral network.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for patient documentation and care coordination.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Willingness to practice in a tort‑reform state and participate in a 24/7 hospitalist environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the EPIC EMR platform.
