About the role

The Pharmacy Technician IV – Procurement supports the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) pharmacy by managing the acquisition of medications, supplies, and equipment. This position ensures a reliable supply chain, compliance with regulations, and efficient service to clinical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement of pharmacy products, including medications, devices, and consumables.
• Maintain inventory levels, conduct regular stock reconciliations, and generate purchase orders.
• Communicate with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure all purchases comply with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
• Process invoices, verify receipt of goods, and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership to forecast needs and support budgeting.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
• Several years of experience in pharmacy operations or procurement.
• Strong knowledge of medication handling, inventory control, and purchasing procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
