Pharmacy Practice Manager

About the role

The Pharmacy Practice Manager will lead a pharmacy team within an ASDA store, balancing patient care with commercial performance. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be responsible for meeting pharmacy targets, ensuring compliance and delivering an excellent patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the pharmacy team to achieve high standards of patient safety and service.
• Manage day‑to‑day pharmacy operations, including staffing, stock control and compliance with GPhC standards.
• Drive commercial performance by meeting sales, profit and KPI targets.
• Oversee the delivery of NHS and private healthcare services within the pharmacy.
• Collaborate with regional and head‑office teams for clinical and service support.
• Ensure all regulatory and clinical governance requirements are met.

Required profile

• Fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC.
• Proven experience managing a pharmacy team and meeting performance targets.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to balance clinical responsibilities with line‑management duties.
• Experience handling difficult situations and maintaining solid relationships with store and field teams.
