Pharmacist – Specialty Pharmacy (Full‑Time)

About the role

This full‑time position focuses on dispensing medications and pharmaceutical supplies while ensuring compliance with departmental policies and state regulations. The pharmacist will collaborate closely with providers, counsel patients, and participate in medication reconciliation and education activities.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescription and non‑prescription medications in accordance with laws and department policies.
• Communicate with providers to resolve prescription questions, drug‑drug interactions, and dosage concerns.
• Maintain inventory records, including controlled substances, following U.S. and Pennsylvania regulations.
• Consult with healthcare staff on medication availability, dosage forms, indications, side effects, and incompatibilities.
• Counsel patients on over‑the‑counter products and answer medication‑related queries.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and coordinate daily operational duties.
• Manage inventory levels, rotate stock, handle recalls, and remove outdated supplies.
• Participate in drug usage evaluation, medication reconciliation, quality assurance, and related reporting activities.

Required profile

• Graduated from an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. or Pharm.D. degree.
• Licensed pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Recent experience in a high‑volume, patient‑care oriented retail or outpatient pharmacy.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software and automated dispensing equipment.
