Pharmacist I – Part Time – Inpatient Pharmacy

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a part‑time Pharmacist I to join its inpatient pharmacy team. This clinical staff position supports medication therapy for hospitalized patients and contributes to safe, effective drug use.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, dispense, and verify inpatient medication orders.
• Provide drug information and counseling to patients and healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate medication records and ensure compliance with pharmacy law and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement projects.

Required profile

• Current, active pharmacist license in the United States.
• Pharmacy degree from an accredited program.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work part‑time shifts as scheduled.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems for order entry and verification.
• Knowledge of inpatient medication therapy management and pharmacy regulations.
