Per Diem MRI Technologist – $49.25/hr

About the role

The MRI Technologist works under the direction of a radiologist to perform diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging examinations, ensuring patient safety and high‑quality images. This per‑diem position in Kingman requires a minimum of six shifts over six weeks and offers a rate of $49.25 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Position patients, select appropriate shielding and immobilization devices, and operate MRI equipment to acquire diagnostic images.
• Evaluate lab values, assess contraindications, verify patient identity and pregnancy status, and administer contrast media when indicated.
• Monitor patients and equipment during scans, document exam start and stop times, and report any issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Perform advanced MRI techniques such as angiography, bilateral run‑offs, and raw‑data reformatting.
• Maintain compliance with magnetic resonance safety standards and infection‑control precautions.

Required profile

• Graduate of an ARRT‑ or ARMRIT‑accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• Current ARRT MRI (MR) certification or ARRT registration with MRI certification obtained within nine months of hire.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• At least one year of MRI technologist experience preferred; on‑the‑job training acceptable.

Required skills

• Operation of MRI scanners and advanced sequences (e.g., angiography, bilateral run‑offs).
• Use of contrast media administration and assessment of relevant lab values.
• Application of respiratory gating software and patient vital‑monitoring equipment.
