Per Diem Cath Lab Technologist (Cardiac Imaging)

About the role

Under supervision of the Cath Lab Supervisor, the Per Diem Cath Lab Technologist provides patient services by operating imaging modalities during angiographic and cardiac catheterization procedures for patients of all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment and assist physicians in detecting and localizing patient anatomy during diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath procedures.
• Ensure radiation safety for patients, family members, and self, and document patient reactions and procedural events.
• Record ECG and pressure waveforms, enter procedure data and supplies into the physiologic computer system.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and assist with equipment maintenance and inventory control.

Required profile

• Completion of an accredited Radiological Technologist program.
• Current registration and licensure with the Arizona Medical Radiologic Technology Board and ARRT.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Minimum two years of experience performing angiographic procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of cardiac imaging equipment (angiography, interventional imaging).
• Radiation safety practices and monitoring.
• ECG and pressure waveform monitoring during procedures.
• Use of physiologic computer systems for data entry.
