About the role

Ochsner Children’s Hospital is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Pediatric Infectious Disease physician to join its expanding practice in New Orleans, Louisiana. The role involves delivering both inpatient and outpatient care for children with suspected or confirmed infectious diseases, with an emphasis on antimicrobial stewardship.

Key responsibilities

Evaluate and manage pediatric patients with infectious diseases in inpatient settings, including the Level IV NICU and PICU.
Provide outpatient consultations and follow‑up care for children with complex infections.

Required profile

Medical Doctor (MD or DO) board‑certified or board‑eligible in Pediatric Infectious Disease.
Interest in or experience with antimicrobial stewardship programs.

Required skills

Clinical expertise in pediatric infectious disease diagnosis and treatment.
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Ochsner’s pediatric services.
