Pediatric Adolescent Medicine Physician

About the role

The Children’s Hospital of Michigan seeks a board‑certified Pediatric Adolescent Medicine Physician to join its Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. This full‑time academic position combines clinical care for adolescents with teaching and mentorship responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care for patients aged 11–21, including routine physicals, reproductive health, eating disorders, and behavioral health management.
• Maintain an 8‑session weekly clinical schedule organized in 4‑hour blocks.
• Cover inpatient consult service three days per week on a rotating schedule, with shared beeper call duties every third week.
• Participate in medical student, resident, and fellow education, curriculum development, and skills assessment.
• Engage in quality‑improvement initiatives, research projects, and cross‑specialty academic collaborations.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (American Board of Pediatrics).
• Completed fellowship in Adolescent Medicine; Board Eligible or Certified in Adolescent Medicine.
• Demonstrated academic experience in teaching, curriculum development, or evaluation.
• Eligibility to obtain a Michigan medical license.
