Payroll Analyst

About the role

The Payroll Analyst will ensure payroll is accurate, timely, and trustworthy as Coder expands across states and countries. You will support day‑to‑day payroll operations, reconcile each run, and provide clear answers to employee questions while partnering with Accounting, People, and other cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support semi‑monthly and weekly payroll processing in Rippling, handling new hires, terminations, pay changes, off‑cycle payments, garnishments, and retroactive adjustments.
• Reconcile payroll registers against HRIS and benefits data before submission and resolve discrepancies with the Senior Payroll Specialist.
• Coordinate employee changes, compensation updates, and benefits deductions with the People team.
• Assist with multi‑state tax withholding setup, registrations, and year‑end processes including W‑2s, W‑2c corrections, and ACA reporting.
• Maintain audit trails, SOPs, and controls; respond to tax notices, unemployment claims, and audit requests.
• Leverage AI tools to automate workflows, and help maintain payroll systems such as Rippling and Deel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–3 years of payroll experience, preferably with multi‑state or international exposure.
• Working knowledge of core payroll tax concepts (e.g., FICA, FUTA/SUTA).
• Strong reconciliation skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and sound judgment handling confidential data.
