Payment Operations Manager

About the role

We’re building a credit‑card and loyalty platform used by consumer businesses such as Coinbase, Alibaba and Qatar Airways. The Payments Operations Manager is an individual‑contributor role at the centre of our payments ecosystem, balancing hands‑on execution with program‑level ownership to keep our systems reliable, scalable and ready for new products.

Key responsibilities

• Automate end‑to‑end card‑lifecycle workflows by identifying manual pain points and partnering with Engineering to build solutions.
• Design and implement processes and systems that support rapid volume growth while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Analyze operational tickets, uncover root causes and drive fixes that address underlying problems.
• Operationalise network mandates, building intake and tracking processes across Ops and Engineering.
• Scale external partnerships, establishing SOPs, training and audit frameworks for BPO and back‑office operations.
• Develop AI‑driven exception handling, reconciliation and monitoring tools.
• Build internal dashboards that provide real‑time visibility into card production, transaction exceptions and processor health.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in payment or card operations (issuer, processor or fintech).
• Hands‑on experience with card processors, reconciliation and network file formats (Visa, Mastercard, Amex).
• Strong ability to use data to diagnose issues and validate solutions.
• Proven track record building or improving operational tooling and automation.
• Comfort communicating across product, engineering, compliance and fraud teams.
