About the role
The Patron Engagement Specialist provides a welcoming, accurate and responsive experience for all library visitors. Working primarily on Saturdays and as a substitute when needed, the role blends patron interaction, technology assistance and circulation duties.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service as the primary point of contact for patrons.
- Assist patrons with technology use and guide them to appropriate resources.
- Perform circulation tasks and manage patron inquiries.
- Work each Saturday from 12 pm to 4 pm and be available for additional substitute hours, including evenings and weekends.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of Curtis Memorial Library’s collections, services and resources.
- Public library experience preferred.
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts.
What we offer
- Starting pay of $22 per hour.
- $5 per hour shift differential for Saturday shifts.
