About the role
The Patient Care Technician provides direct patient care and clinical support within the Neuroscience Clinics at UAMS. This position works closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care for patients undergoing neurological evaluation and treatment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake, vital signs measurement, and basic clinical procedures.
- Prepare exam rooms and equipment for neurological assessments and interventions.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
- Support physicians and nurses during diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the clinic environment.
- Provide patient education on pre‑ and post‑procedure instructions.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a patient care technician or related training program.
- Current certification (e.g., CNA, CPT) preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced clinical setting.
