Part‑Time Forklift Operator – San Jose

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a reliable Part‑Time Forklift Operator to join its San Jose service center. You will work on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock moving freight safely in and out of trailers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to load and unload freight from trailers up to 53 feet long.
• Handle various types of freight, ensuring proper placement and secure transport.
• Maintain accurate records by reading manifests and interacting with computer displays.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependable with the capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous forklift experience, preferably in a high‑volume setting.
• Some experience with LTL (Less‑Than‑Truckload) shipments is a plus.
