About the role

This is a part‑time, non‑benefits‑eligible, FLSA non‑exempt position supporting the Welding Technology program at the Dawson Campus. The role reports to the Dean of Applied Technology and Transportation and includes a background check as part of the hiring process.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment as instructed.
  • Assist with inventory management and requisition of lab supplies.
  • Support faculty by supervising and mentoring students during lab and tutoring sessions.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of experience in the welding field.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work scheduled hours.
  • Ability to assist with instructional materials and evaluate student progress.

Required skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Proficiency in learning and using software and hardware tools related to welding technology.
  • Familiarity with welding codes such as AWS D11, API 1104, and ASME B31.1.
