Part-Time Visitor Information Specialist – Augusta, GA

About the role

The Georgia Visitor Information Center in Augusta is seeking energetic, outgoing individuals to serve as part-time Visitor Information Specialists. You will be the first point of contact for millions of visitors, providing travel advice and promoting Georgia’s tourism attractions.

Key responsibilities

• Greet visitors and provide information on events, attractions, and travel routes.
• Assist travelers in locating lodging, mechanical, medical, or other essential services.
• Promote Georgia as a tourism destination and help sell local experiences.
• Handle light physical tasks such as moving boxes up to 25 lb and standing for extended periods.
• Work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends, on an as‑needed basis (approximately 1–2 days per week).

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and customer‑service experience.
• Ability to work daytime shifts on holidays, weekends, and most weekdays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lb and stand for long periods.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to varying work days.
