Part-Time Outreach Specialist – Youth Services

About the role

The Wings of The Harbor Program, part of Comprehensive Youth Services, Inc., seeks a part‑time Outreach Specialist to provide assistance and referrals to youth ages 9‑21 in crisis. The role involves flexible scheduling, including day, afternoon, and weekend hours, with up to 59 hours every two weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Complete client intake, paperwork, and shift documentation.
• Assist clients with applications for resources, school, employment, and personal documentation.
• Provide referrals to community resources and advocate on behalf of clients.
• Distribute needed items such as food, hygiene, and household supplies.
• Answer crisis calls and deliver appropriate intervention.
• Participate in outreach events (parades, fairs, festivals, school outreaches, backpack giveaways, etc.) and travel to local communities to share resources.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• TB test clearance.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Pass MDHHS background check.
