Part-Time OPFOR Role Player for Army Training

About the role

OPFOR Role Player will perform professional role‑playing work for a U.S. Army field training exercise at Joint Base McGuire‑Dix‑Lakehurst. The part‑time, on‑call position supports realistic training scenarios that prepare soldiers for contingency operations.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in weapons handling and operation training using rifles, pistols, blanks and dye‑marking cartridges.
• Engage students at appropriate intensity, adjust responses based on performance, and may be required to “die in place” or be captured after simulated firefights.
• Perform duties in austere environments with limited infrastructure, including urban and mounted operations.
• Integrate into scenarios as hostile forces, ambushes, snipers, police, civilians, terrorists, etc., using weapons, equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain and clean all weapons to USAF EOS armory standards and return them after duty.

Required profile

• Good general health and ability to meet physical demands (lifting 50 lb, walking, running, crawling, etc.).
• Fluent in English; a second language is a plus.
• Prior experience with use, maintenance and operation of military assault rifles and small arms.
• Eligibility to possess firearms under Title 18 U.S.C. 922 and ability to submit required DD Form 2760.
• Clean background check without indicators that would preclude handling weapons or pyrotechnics.
