About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking a motivated individual to serve as a Juvenile Correctional Officer on a part‑time, night‑shift basis at the Augusta Youth Development Center. This temporary position offers 29 hours per week and provides direct supervision and crisis response for youthful offenders.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor the facility and provide immediate response to crises.
- Conduct on‑site interventions for assigned youthful offenders.
- Enforce institutional policies, rules, procedures, and state regulations.
- Maintain public safety through consistent application of correctional standards.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of Basic Law Enforcement training.
