Part-Time House Manager & Family Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a warm, proactive Part‑Time House Manager & Family Assistant to support our busy professional family in Los Altos. The role blends household organization, meal support, and light childcare to keep our home running smoothly and joyfully.

Key responsibilities

• Plan weekly meals, shop for groceries, prepare meals and snacks for the toddler and simple adult dinners.
• Maintain an organized, well‑stocked kitchen and pantry, and oversee seasonal décor swaps.
• Manage household supplies, handle returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping, and coordinate errands and deliveries.
• Run the household calendar, coordinate family logistics, and liaise with cleaning teams, vendors, and service providers.
• Provide light backup childcare, occasional date‑night coverage, and assist with child‑related errands.
• Wash, fold, and organize laundry, including light garment care and linen management.

Required profile

• Warm, proactive, grounded personality with a genuine affinity for young children.
• Calm, cheerful presence; able to read the room and adjust approach as needed.
• Self‑starter who observes, assesses, and acts without step‑by‑step instructions.
• Demonstrated experience in a private household or high‑touch environment, with strong discretion and reliability.
• Detail‑oriented, flexible when priorities shift, and comfortable collaborating with a full‑time nanny and cleaning team.
