Part-Time Fundraising Development Coordinator

About the role

The Part‑Time Fundraising Development Coordinator will drive revenue generation for DVSC by building relationships with donors, planning events, managing the donor database, and promoting the agency’s services throughout Luzerne and Carbon Counties.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate and maintain relationships with new funding sources, including federal, state, local, foundation, corporate and individual donors.
• Research market needs, monitor funding trends, and develop short‑ and long‑term fundraising and public‑relations strategies.
• Plan, budget and execute fundraising events, coordinating communications, logistics and board member involvement.
• Implement and maintain a donor database and develop a donor recognition program.
• Arrange community presentations, manage media contacts, and produce newsletters, press releases and website updates.
• Support day‑to‑day agency operations, special projects and board‑directed tasks.

Required profile

• BA/BS in Business, Communications, Marketing, Social Work, Nonprofit Administration or related field (preferred).
• Minimum two years of successful fundraising and public‑relations experience.
• Clear criminal background checks (PA Child Abuse, state and FBI) and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and interact respectfully with diverse populations, especially women and children.
