Part-Time Family Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Part-Time Family Assistant to keep our busy St. Louis household running smoothly. The role involves daily home resets, inventory management, meal support and occasional light childcare, all while working independently and respecting our family’s privacy.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain pantry, fridge and household supplies; place grocery orders and handle returns, dry‑cleaning and pharmacy runs.
• Take full ownership of laundry for the family, including washing, folding, linen rotation and area upkeep.
• Assist with meal preparation 2–3 evenings per week – chopping, marinating and storing produce.
• Perform daily home resets (dishes, surfaces, vacuuming) and prepare the house for bi‑weekly cleaners.
• Manage household organization projects such as pantry systems, seasonal clothing swaps and donation drop‑offs.
• Coordinate vendor and contractor visits, track home‑maintenance calendar and oversee minor repairs.
• Support family logistics: prep backpacks, sports gear, occasional school pickups and calendar alignment.
• Provide pet‑care basics and occasional dog walking for our high‑energy yellow Lab.

Required profile

• Exceptionally proactive and able to anticipate household needs without prompting.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and comfortable creating and maintaining systems.
• Professional, reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable around children and a large, energetic dog.
• Authorized to work in the United States and possesses a reliable vehicle with a valid driver’s license.
