Part-Time Classroom Support Teacher

About the role

Discovery Kidzone is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Classroom Relief Specialist to support various classrooms in Bozeman. This part‑time role offers flexible Monday‑Friday hours with no evenings or weekends, and provides paid training for those new to early childhood education.

Key responsibilities

• Support classrooms and age groups throughout the center.
• Assist with teacher breaks, classroom transitions, and daily schedule coverage.
• Support daily routines including meals, naps, diapering, and toileting.
• Engage children through storytelling, music, movement, crafts, games, and hands‑on activities.
• Encourage positive behavior, social skills, independence, and confidence.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and safe classroom environments.
• Collaborate with teachers and center leadership to meet classroom needs.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers and families when appropriate.

Required profile

• At least 16 years old.
• Passionate about working with children.
• Comfortable working with different age groups.
• Caring, patient, dependable, flexible, and organized.
• Positive and adaptable to changing classroom needs.
• Strong communicator and team player.
• Willing to learn and complete required Montana licensing and training.
• CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).
