About the role
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is hiring a Parole Officer III to supervise the Institutional Unit. This role focuses on case management, supervision of parolees, and ensuring compliance with state policies.
Key responsibilities
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Criminal Justice, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
- Minimum three years full‑time, wage‑earning experience in criminal justice, case management, case processing, or military service.
- Parole officer experience preferred.
- Valid Texas driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain a certificate of completion for the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (TLETS) policy and procedures training within six months of employment.
