Paralegal 4 – Georgia Professional Standards Commission

About the role

The Georgia Professional Standards Commission is seeking a Paralegal 4 to support its Educator Ethics Division. This full‑time position works closely with the Chief Case Administrator and other staff to investigate disciplinary matters, draft legal documents, and manage case workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and prepare legal correspondence, consent orders, final orders, and open records requests.
• Process complaints, conduct preliminary investigations, and determine eligibility for further action.
• Perform legal research and draft documents for administrative actions.
• Enter and manage data, maintain case files, and ensure accurate record keeping.
• Coordinate multiple projects, track timelines, and adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders such as the Attorney General’s Office and State Administrative Hearings.

Required profile

• Under limited supervision, draft and review legal documents and correspondence.
• Ability to analyze data, conduct research, and manage case files efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
