Overnight Security Officer

About the role

The Overnight Security Officer joins the Safety and Security Department at Silo Ridge Field Club, providing 24‑hour protection for members, guests and employees during the night shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM). This full‑time, year‑round position is essential to maintaining a safe, welcoming environment in a private, gated community.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for members, guests and employees.
• Control access to the property and prevent unauthorized entry.
• Provide medical response and first‑aid assistance as needed.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and natural‑disaster events and report to supervisors.
• Enforce health, safety and Use‑of‑Force policies in accordance with club guidelines.

Required profile

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military or customer service.
• Valid New York driver’s license and clear criminal background.
• High school diploma or higher; ability to obtain a NY Guard Card.
• Ability to work overnight shifts in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lb.
• Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under duress.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certification or ability to obtain them.
