Outside Sales Account Manager – Industrial Fluid Power

About the role

SunSource is seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager to serve the Cincinnati market for industrial fluid power components and solutions. You will have autonomy to grow your territory while leveraging support from customer service and sales leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sales plan with your manager to acquire new customers and retain existing accounts.
• Conduct full‑cycle prospecting, including lead qualification, cold calling, and delivering sales presentations.
• Partner with customer service and technical support teams to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Utilize CRM tools and other resources to efficiently manage time, territory, and pipeline.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or a two‑year technical degree, preferably in Fluid Power, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of industrial or technical sales experience, with a minimum of 1 year in fluid power sales.
• Fluid Power certification is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting fluid power products and systems.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel overnight as needed.

Required skills

• Fluid Power systems troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms.
• General computer proficiency.
