Outside Sales Account Manager – Fluid Power Solutions

About the role

SunSource is seeking a driven Outside Sales Account Manager to grow its Fluid Power business in the Pittsburgh metro area. You will build relationships, solve technical challenges, and expand market share for fluid power components and solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan in partnership with the District Sales Manager.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and presentations.
• Grow and maintain strong relationships with existing customers across a defined territory.
• Leverage inside‑sales and technical teams to deliver value‑added solutions.
• Use CRM tools and data insights to manage pipeline and territory effectively.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a 2‑year technical degree (Fluid Power focus preferred).
• 3+ years of B2B industrial sales experience, preferably in Fluid Power.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally overnight.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with fluid power systems, components, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn and effectively use CRM systems and related applications.
