Outpatient Physical Therapist – St. Charles Parish Hospital

At Ochsner, you will work autonomously delivering outpatient physical therapy services, evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and monitoring progress to meet quality and patient‑experience goals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and create individualized treatment programs.
• Assess patient response and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with documentation standards.
• Achieve productivity targets related to access to care, patient experience, and quality metrics.
• Assist in developing and enhancing programs to meet community needs.
• Adapt communication and care approach to respect patient privacy and preferences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.
• Current state physical therapy license or eligibility for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong judgment, decision‑making, and interpersonal abilities.
• Flexibility to work fluctuating schedules based on patient demand.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers and software applications.
• Experience using web‑based applications for documentation and scheduling.
