About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Occupational Therapist specialized in Hand Therapy to join its Rehabilitation Therapy team. This full‑time, day‑shift position supports patients in an outpatient clinic setting, delivering evidence‑based hand therapy interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized hand therapy programs for outpatient clients.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document treatment progress and maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with institutional policies.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention.
• Participate in clinic meetings, case reviews, and continuing education activities.

Required profile

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Arkansas.
• Experience or strong interest in hand therapy within an outpatient setting.
